Fall Foliage Road Trips near Sour Lake, TX

While other parts of the country may be more famous for their fall foliage, you can still see beautiful autumn colors right here in Texas. If you have some free time this fall, take a road trip to catch the spectacular colors across the state.


Travel to the state capital in your Chevrolet Equinox, about four hours away, and catch some spectacular views. Austin has a great collection of trails and parks that explode in oranges, reds, and yellows. Tyler State Park, located in the city of Tyler, is about three and a half hours north of Sour Lake. This park features a stately forest with 100-foot tall trees and a large 64-acre lake.
