Chevrolet is always looking to the future. Just two years after the introduction of the first mid-engine Corvette, the brand is showing off the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06. This impressive machine is the most capable Z06 ever produced. Let’s explore what we can expect from the 2023 Corvette Z06.

Under the hood, the Corvette Z06 comes with an all-new 5.5-liter LT6 V8 engine. This is the most powerful naturally-aspirated engine ever in a production car. It is rated at an impressive 670 horsepower. In addition to its power, engineers worked for two years to craft a rich exhaust tone that will thrill you every time press on the accelerator.

The Z06 also comes with track-proven technology including launch control for maximum off-the-line acceleration, Performance Traction Management with five settings of torque reduction, and an Electronic Limited Slip Differential.

Along with its impressive performance, the Z06 also features a striking racing-inspired design. It is 3.6 inches wider than the standard Stingray to accommodate large side air vents and 345-series rear tires. The Z06 also comes with unique front and rear fascias. To improve stability and cornering, it comes with a reconfigurable rear spoiler.

Inside, the Corvette Z06 features a driver-centric cockpit. Rich materials and unique textures including carbon fiber trim give the cabin an upscale feel.

When it arrives in 2022, you can order your very own 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 at Sour Lake Chevrolet in Sour Lake, Texas.

Chevrolet Corvette C8 Impresses at the Lightning Lap 2021 Event

Chevrolet shocked the automotive world when it revealed that the Chevrolet Corvette C8 would be a mid-engine model. Many enthusiasts wondered if this latest iteration could match the legendary performance of previous models.

Car and Driver recently put all doubts to rest. During the publication’s Lightning Lap 2021 event, the Chevy Corvette C8 was the fastest vehicle tested.

The mid-engine monster managed to achieve a time of just 2:49.0 as it zoomed along the Virginia International Raceway. That means that the Corvette C8 not only managed to outrace the competition, but also improve upon the times set be earlier iterations.

In second place with a lap time of 2:45.0 was the Lamborghini Huracán Evo. However, while the Huracán Evo has an asking price of $334,969, the Chevy Corvette C8 costs less than $70,000. All of that begs the question: Why would you pay more — a lot more — for less?

With a staggering 0 to 60 mph time of just 2.8 seconds, it’s nigh on impossible to best the Chevrolet Corvette C8 when it comes to performance at a value. To experience excellence in motion, stop by Sour Lake Chevrolet to browse our extensive inventory of high-quality vehicles.
